About us

ProFinda’s mission is to help change the world of work. This visionary work is fuelled by our talented, global team with diverse perspectives, backgrounds and experiences. Come join our adventure from leader to game-changer

Mission

The right teams, the right opportunities, at the right time

The right teams, the right opportunities, at the right time We are pioneering a new B2B category which we call Workforce Optimization. ProFinda defines WO as ‘aligning the missions of your business with the desires of your workforce.’

Our mission is nothing less than to continue pioneering the skills and optimization agenda, to transform the world of work, to help every employee achieve their full potential, to eliminate bias, and help ensure we all have fun doing it!

Vision

ProFinda however holds an even higher mission. As a purpose-driven organization, our vision is even more ambitious than helping to transform the corporate world and millions of careers. Our new breed of optimization and AI can be applied to any supply chain around the supply and demand of people, work and opportunities.

We see this as a game-changing innovation, driving new intelligence and efficiencies into the heart of every organisation, network and NGO on the planet.

As such, ultimately, our wider mission is to leverage and donate our IP to transform the experiences of disadvantaged communities, climate change networks, anti-slavery charities, NGOs, refugee causes, and many more.

Our dream is to positively impact the lives of over 3.1 billion people. This number represents the working population of the world. We are committed to ensuring we help create opportunities for all, driving equality across all societies. Hence ProFinda’s greater mission is to “democratize knowledge to unlock the potential of humanity”.

We’re very proud of this work and are deeply grateful for our teams, partners, amazing clients and wider support networks, all helping us drive this mission forward.

Our Values

At ProFinda, we know that a great culture is something that develops naturally on the back of strong, clearly defined company values and leadership. This culture is what motivates and retains talented employees. Our values are true to ProFinda and are reinforced among our employees daily, translating to a culture that makes the entire team proud.

We’re a purpose-driven company, engaged and excited about the work we are doing.

We are committed to transparent and great communication, and patient self-driven attitudes. We're not big on meetings, but we love innovation, agile thinking and solution mindsets.

We operate based on trust. We are proud of the company's autonomy and work based on flexible hours. We care about the results, not harsh deadlines.

We know good ideas come from everywhere, so we work to ensure every person feels safe to take risks and think outside of the box. You will get a responsible role in an ambitious team, at the forefront of our rapid growth.

Diversity & Inclusion

At ProFinda, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion live as part of our core values. Both inside ProFinda and for our clients. Inside ProFinda our leadership team is 50% female, and 50% women across our operations. It’s how we seek to inspire and create an open-minded nurturing workforce, where our employees feel comfortable being themselves.

We know that creating diverse and empowered teams is a fundamental component to our success and this success can only be achieved by a collective of people with different backgrounds, experiences, personalities, talents, ideas and opinions. Our clients also take our technology to ‘power’ their DE&I agendas. So we are very proud to be living the vision we also innovate and market.

We are committed to hiring fantastic, innovative team players.

If this sounds like you, you will find ProFinda a wonderful fun new home!

Women in AI

Our latest interview series celebrates the lives and careers of our female team members, working with AI daily. Updated and rotated quarterly – here are a few on feature!

Caitlin Deavy Associate Product Manager

Q1

‘Tell us a bit about yourself’

ProFinda is my second job after finishing a BSc in Business Analytics at the University of Southampton. I fell into Product whilst I was looking for roles in technology that fit my skills. I am UK based, but have also lived in the US for 12 years where I enjoyed all the natural beauty and activities the Pacific Northwest had to offer”.

Q2

‘What shaped you to become who you are today?’

After my second year of university I did a placement year. It wasn’t in tech and I realised quickly that it was not what I wanted to do. However over the course of the year, I met many people with lots of different career paths. I specifically had some close friends who had just started roles in tech. Those interactions and relationships made me pivot my job applications after I graduated and gave me some direction as to what I wanted. Learning about the industry and the different roles available allowed me to see the possibilities of what sort of career I wanted to pursue. The roles in tech allowed for flexibility in terms of progression and remote working; these aspects appealed to me, as did the thought of working to solve problems.”

Q3

‘Can you share some of the strategies you’ve learned that can help women thrive in AI roles?’

As well as diversity extending past gender in hiring, we must also work to hire allies who can support women to thrive in tech.”

Q4

‘Do you have a message or advice for other women wanting to reach their career goals in AI?’

Continue to learn new skills and develop yourself! We are never too old to learn something new, technology is constantly evolving so we should be too - no matter what your role.”

Q5

‘How can we empower more women to work in AI?’

Make sure young women start with a good education and have the opportunity to learn about different career options. When people have knowledge of how to get somewhere, they are more likely to pursue it. I meet a lot of people who see AI as this enigmatic black box - it’s not, but it can feel gate-kept by people being dismissive and only speaking vaguely about what they do. Skills required are often described as broad and seem out of reach to people who are not yet in the industry. We shouldn’t be making it challenging for anyone to know about our careers. Businesses and educational institutions should highlight the benefits of working in AI and pave paths to encourage students to pursue these roles.”

Q6

‘How is ProFInda as a place to work for women in AI?’

ProFinda has provided me the space and opportunity to work with the most women I ever have in my career, which I think speaks to the hiring process. We have a great, supportive culture at ProFinda, a huge part of that seems to come from the fact that everyone has a great deal of respect for each other regardless of any invariable factors.”

Rutu Shah QA Engineer

Q1

‘Tell us a bit about yourself’

A tech professional, a mum, wife, daughter-in-law - all rolled into one! I’m an Experienced QA Engineer with a strong hold on manual and automation testing techniques. In my spare time, I love to go for walks, be near nature, travel and socialise”.

Q2

‘What shaped you to become who you are today?’

Life experiences, both positive and negative, have played the biggest role in building who I am today. I cannot ignore the humongous emotional support I receive from my family and friends”.

Q3

‘Can you share some of the strategies you’ve learned that can help women thrive in AI roles?’

Keeping up-to-date is the key - whenever you find time, just look into the latest upcoming innovations in your field of interest, brush up your skills. It's vital to keep sharpening your skills to bring new perspectives and create impact”.

Q4

‘Do you have a message or advice for other women wanting to reach their career goals in AI?’

Believe in yourself. It can be done at any stage of life. Will power will help you achieve your goals”.

Q5

‘How can we empower more women to work in AI?’

Flexibility is the key. This way, each woman will have a balanced work and life and less hurdles towards their progress. Also, acknowledging hard work and success will motivate and inspire more women to work in AI”.

Q6

‘How is ProFInda as a place to work for women in tech?’

Excellent! Highly recommended. Performing so many roles under one roof is only possible due to a workplace such as ProFinda”.

Vivian Vu QA Engineer

Q1

‘Tell us a bit about yourself’

I’m Vivian Vu and I’m a QA engineer. I started my career in AI via an accidental apprenticeship . I initially came from a Film & TV background and found myself in QA. So far it’s been a great accident! In my personal life I love animals of all kinds, cats are my favourite - alongside that I love fashion and make-up, a typical girly girl if you want to call it that”.

Q2

‘What shaped you to become who you are today?’

I think not going to uni shaped me - leaving school everyone around me was going to uni and there was only assistance for those going. I had to find alternatives to what I would be doing with my life/career. Being so young going to networking events with professionals without having any professional experience or help was challenging but in the long run it helped me to become confident and successful in my role”.

Q3

‘Can you share some of the strategies you’ve learned that can help women thrive in AI roles?’

Be confident - sometimes it can be intimidating to be surrounded by majority men but we’re just as good as them if not even better 😉 Be helpful and always be up for learning - AI is always evolving and changing, teach others what you know and they will teach you what they know. Being in a learning mindset will help you thrive in any role”.

Q4

‘Do you have a message or advice for other women wanting to reach their career goals in AI?’

Whether you want to improve your skills or kickstart your career in AI there is a lot of free online content, especially for women. There are guided courses you can join, whatever direction you want to take your career in”.

Q5

‘How can we empower more women to work in AI?’

AI is at an all time high right now, and more demand = more opportunities. There’s often a misconception about AI that you have to be super into technology to be within the field. Whatever you’re interested in there will be a company/role within your interest”.

Q6

‘How is ProFInda as a place to work for women in AI?’

Genuinely such a nice place to work. You are treated as an equal to your colleagues. As the company is growing, there are so many different people from all walks of life, you meet so many personalities and everyone's so friendly! Alongside that you’re able to work from home with no demand of commuting anywhere except company retreats which is a bonus anyways!”.
